The Otis Barthoulameu Fund

Otis, known to most simply as O, loved skateboarding.

More than that, he loved sharing it—bringing more people to it, and also bringing it to them. During his many years as a skate photographer, he published images of young skaters who would later emerge as skateboarding’s new vanguard, and those he inspired through his imagery are too numerous to count. He gave skaters boards and other gear, encouraged and mentored them, got them sponsored, and connected people who would go on to form lifelong friendships and partnerships. O was a connector and a giver who mostly created opportunities for others, and those of us who were the fortunate recipients of his friendship and help will never forget him for it.

O was a skateboarder, through and through.

All you had to do was be one, too, and he had your back. Help us continue his legacy of giving by supporting Exposure through the Otis Barthoulameu Fund. Exposure provides opportunities, visibility, and support to women, trans, and nonbinary skaters. Your donation will help grow a more inclusive and connected skateboarding community, the one Otis loved being a part of.
